Pressed Botanical Plates
In this 2 hour, one-time class, we’ll be pressing botanicals into slabs of white stoneware clay. Make abstract or arranged compositions with your imprints.
Each student will get to make and keep up to 4 pieces which can be round or organically shaped dessert plates, trinket dishes, or wall hangings (leather cord available for wall hangings).
Several solid color glaze options will be available, and if hand painting in underglaze is desired (I will cover with clear), that will be an option as well.
PLEASE BRING FORAGED BOTANICALS TO USE AND SHARE - forage your yard, the sidewalk, wherever you see a nice sprout, leaf, or flower. Some botanicals will also be provided.
No experience required. For ages 18+
Light refreshments will be provided, but please BYOB!
